I decided this morning to post the cards I've done, but hadn't posted, today.  An out with the old and in with the new type thing.  :)

One of my resolutions this coming year is to get out of my craft room more.  Lately, even if I'm not making anything, I'm in here doing something.  Cleaning and reorganizing mostly, but the rest of the house and my so called social life have suffered for it. I will keep last years goal of one card a week, but most weeks I went overboard and I have so many cards done that I don't know what to do with them all.  lol

letterpress technique with spellbinders

I needed to make a birthday card for my Aunt today.  I wanted to try the letterpress technique, so I made the same card (almost lol) in two different colors.

1 sheet wonders and box

I needed some crafty gifts this year for Christmas, so I went back to Joyfully Made Designs for Kathy's one sheet wonders.  I love doing those!  I used her 8x8 layout, found HERE and she also made a box to fit them, that I found HERE.  Kathy put the link for Splitcoaststampers, where she found the box, HERE.

This is such a great way to use my favorite papers!

Yesterday I mentioned the bow maker my sweet husband made me.  It's only a "rough draft", because I didn't know what sizes of bows I would want until I actually use one.  So, with that in mind, here's what he made me....

My two favorites, the dark blue one is 3/4 inches and the light blue one is 2 inches...

I also mentioned yesterday that I bought something to organize my inks.  I bought it at Menards in the tool section.  While the big drawers aren't big enough to divide with 2 regular sized ink pads, it easily hold between 2 to 4 ink pads and the stamp pads that go with each ink pad.  The smaller drawers are divided and hold the tear drop sized ink pads and stamp pads.  When I made the up the labels for them, I colored part of it so I could see at a glance what I had.  I was surprised and how many duplicate colors I have.  But this should help with that.  :)

Mojo Monday #323

I've been playing around a lot in my craft room this past week, working on some project and organizing things finally.  :)  I bought a storage bin cabinet type thing from Menards for my inks and my sweet hubby made me a bow maker.  I will admit to spending a lot of time on utube watching video's for different ideas.

However, I made time to play along with Mojo Monday this week!  My FIL would have been 92 on Thursday and I needed to get a card to my MIL for support this week.

Deb's Iris Birthday card

I needed a Thank you card for my sister and had an idea of what I wanted in my head.

The back ground spellbinders is exactly what I wanted, but after that... nothing went according to plan!  LOL  Which is ok, because I'm happy with how it all turned out.  Especially the double bow.

Wedding book

While I really shouldn't post this until after Christmas, I'm fairly sure my daughter & son in law will be too busy moving into their first home to check out my blog.  :)  If not, Liz, don't read this one.  LOL

Anyway, my Mom wanted to take some of my daughter's wedding pictures to one of my Step Dad's family functions, so she asked me to make something.  I had been on Graphic 45's blog earlier in the day and seen an awesome tutorial by Annette Green for a coupon book, HERE.  Through several trial and error's, I was able to make a small photo book.  I have a cinch that I love to use, but for this project I wanting more of a binding.  Annette's tutorial was awesome for that.

Because it didn't hold many pictures, I used some ribbon and velcro buttons to add more pictures.

When it's closed, the velcro "buttons" behind the pictures holding them in place.
