Opulent Ovals diecut Cards

Good Morning!

I wanted to play around with my Spellbinders Opulent Ovals die, since I wasn't real pleased with the first card I made with it.  I love this die set!

I'm also happy with how both cards turned out.  Of course I was using my favorite K&Company paper, which always helps.  :)

I finally finished all 80 of my Mom's Christmas cards!!  lol  Now I can start on my own, if I can come up with another idea.  I've been showing some of them as I've gone along... these are the rest of what I've made for her.

She picked them already and, I'm happy to say,  was very happy with them.

I've actually been crafting a lot lately, I just haven't been blogging it.... yet!  :)

This week Mojo Monday had a fantastic sketch!!!

Spellbinder's Opulent Ovals

Good Morning!

I was thrilled to finally get my Opulent Oval's by Spellbinders.  I've wanted them for awhile, but I hadn't been able to find them.  (Thank you Amazon and my Darling Daughter who has Amazon Prime and ordered them for me!! LOL)

I have seen all sorts of ideas on the internet of what I could do with these dies, but I had some paper (cheap WalMart paper, pretty, but way too thin!!!) that I wanted to use.  I also used Adorning Squares for the background.  The idea for that came from Amazing Paper Grace and Flowers, Ribbons and Pearls.  Now, with all that explained, I really didn't like how the card turned out.  I will work at it until I get it right so I can get this "card" out of my head, so you'll be seeing these dies again.  LOL

Icy Window

I was looking at the Spellbinder's DT blogs the other day and I found a really great card by Darsie Bruno, here!  The D-Lite die she featured hasn't been released yet, so I used my expression  and Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art and cut out my own 1 inch icicles.  I also don't have the card base dies, so I used a window from French Manor, cut at 3.5 x 5.  It is no where near as good as Darsie's card, but without running out for more supplies (like paper!), it worked for me.  :)

The other day I was at Hobby Lobby and I picked up some 3D Christmas sticker that I thought/hoped would work well with my spellbinder dies.  I was fairly pleased with the results.

My take on the sketch...

While I did like how it turned out, it just felt like it was missing something... and it was!  Stickles and Liquid Pearls.  :)

I added Waterfall Stickles to some of the flowers and Daffodil Liquid Pearls to the insides.

I also added the Waterfall Stickles to the Spellbinder's Les Papillions Butterfly.

I think it made a huge difference, don't you?

Elegant 4 Christmas cards

Good Morning!

It seems fitting after this cold weekend that I have more Christmas cards to share.  lol  I used my 5x7 Elegant Labels Four spellbinders and some pretty Bo Bunny paper that I won in a blog hop last year.  The stamp is from Verve Stamps.

Pet Sympathy

I guess this is request week. LOL  My sister's friend asked her if I had anything for another friend who's dog passed away.  I found something on Pinterest, but I can't figure out how to tell who made it so I can give them proper credit.  I made mine a little bit different, but the idea was from someone else.

The paw print was cut from Life's A Party and cut with my Expression and then topped with Glossy Accents.  (It wasn't totally dried when I took this picture, it dried clear.)  The ovals were cut with Spellbinder's,  Floral Ovals.  The bow on the bottom use to be white, but I inked that and the rest of the card with Distress Ink, vintage photo.

My sister asked me last weekend to make a birthday card for her friend who loves skulls and isn't happy about turning another year older.  This is what I came up with, I hope her friend likes it!

More spellbinders cards

Good Morning!

I've been playing along with my Spellbinder's dies, Majestic Labels Twenty Five.

And also with Splendid Circles die, cut in half.  The stamp set is from Verve, Wishing You and the butterfly stickers are some old K&Company ones I had from years ago.  I also used liquid pearls.

They all met with Sassys approval, except for the room they took up while making them... she thinks of my table as her space.  lol
