Tuesday Morning Sketches #222

Good Morning!

I was able to play along with Tuesday Morning Sketches again this week!  Aside from having a great sketch to work with, I was also able to use some new products that I bought last week and my favorite paper... it just made making this card even more fun!

The sketch...

Instead of using the shapes, I used some Prima Flowers, which I've never used before.  I love the flowers, but they were hard to attach to my card.  I also used some baby bling from Want2Scrap.  I've heard great things about their bling, but (atleast with the baby bling) I don't see any difference from the cheap bling I usually buy.  I have one more thing to try from them, so we'll see.

Candle Box from John Next Door!

Good Morning!

Last week John, from John Next Door posted an awesome candle box.  I loved it so much I had to write him and ask for the specs.  He wrote me back right away and promised do a tutorial the following week.  He posted it on Tuesday and you can find it HERE!  John's tutorial was great and I have nothing to add to it, with maybe the exception of decorating it before you put it together.  But I think that's just a personal preference.

Sunshine and laughter card

Good Morning!

I have another "scraplifted" card today.  This time the card comes from Flowers, Ribbons and Pearls.  Christina not only has awesome spellbinder cards, but she rocks the tutorials!!  I've been wanting to make a card with a framed sentiment, but my efforts till now ... umm.... stunk!  LOL    While I didn't follow Christina's card exactly, the idea was totally hers and I'm happy with how it turned out.  I really need to add to my spellbinders collection.  :/

I will hopefully get a chance this week to make another card with this sketch.  While I love the sketch, I wasn't totally happy with my card.  However, my husband liked it so I will post it.  :)

Good Morning!

I needed to make a thank you card for my parents.  I personally think the inside turned out better than the outside, but I was happy with the card.  The verse was a thank you for my Mom taking me up to our place at the lake for the furnace repair man.  Not driving really makes things rough some days!

Floral Cards

Good Morning!

I love seeing the cards that people make with flowers, they are so beautiful.  But rarely do mine turn out.  lol  This time however, I was happy with how my card turned out!

On the rare occasions that they do, I usually try to copy them.  Even being my own creations, it's rare that I can copy them... go figure!  LOL  While I liked the white better than the tan, I think the first card turned out better than this one.

Masculine Cards

Good Morning!

My Mom asked me to make her masculine cards for her for her birthday.  Typically that's what I give her every year, anywhere between 25 -75 cards of which ever she needs.  Since those are the hardest for me to make, I went back to Kathy's One Sheet Wonders ideas.  One of my K&Company paper packs had 2 sheets of stamps, so I used a bunch of them.

I cut up the stamps and put the ones I wanted to use together.

Next I cut out two mats for each stamps.

Then I paper clipped them all together, since I couldn't work on them right away.

Once I was able to get started, it was pretty quick to get them all done!  The first one is my favorite!

I grouped the cards together when I took pictures.

Not a bad way to do 13 cards all at one time!  :)
