I know no one wants to think about Christmas yet, but for those of us who not only make our own cards, but have to make them for others too.... we don't have much time left.  :)

Spellbinder cards and ink

Good Morning!

I bought some new spellbinder dies recently and was playing around with my inks.  I also used my new Verve stamps that I won from the Mojo Monday blog!  I wanted to make a special card on Saturday for my daughter and also calm down my nerves at the same time.  :)

I figured out how they ink up their projects over at Spellbinders using my inks and a makeup sponge....

and using my Verve stamp set, I love this set!

and then put it all together and came up with this...

Just a note, stamping on shimmery papers doesn't work all that great!  Or maybe I'm just not using the correct ink... I'll have to work on that.  :)

I also made two other cards....

I'm so glad to have the time to get back into my craft room!

Masculine Birthday cards

Good Morning!

I needed to make two masculine birthday cards this week and Mojo Monday had the perfect sketch to do that!

My take on the sketch...

The wedding was a success!

I'm so happy to say the Wedding was a success and I'm so glad it's done!  lol  I am so tired, but it was worth all the hard work, I may be bragging, but my daughter was a beautiful bride.

With luck, in a few days I'll be back to crafting.  :)

Wedding Card

Good Morning!

I made three cards today with my spellbinders, one of which is my daughter's wedding card.  To give credit where it is due, the idea came from the Thinking Inking blog post, found HERE.  Debbie does some very beautiful work.  So, on to my cards....

The next two are similar and stamped with Verve Stamps.  The stamps are from two different sets and I won both of them over at Mojo Mondays.  :)  It doesn't get better than that!

Mojo Monday

Good Morning!

Yesterday I had an awesome morning.  I went to check out the sketch for Mojo Monday, like I do every Monday and I loved the sketch for this week.  (Julie does awesome sketches.)  Then I went to check through the rest of the blog to see if I had missed anything going on, and discovered that my card for sketch #305 won!  (That card is here.)  I LOVE Verve stamps, even a horrible stamper like me can use them.  lol  Anyways.....

Speedy Recovery card

I played along with Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.
The sketch...

I made this card without knowing what I was going to use it for, which is very common for me.  The challenge was to use buttons or bows and this is the what I came up with....

As soon as I finished the card I decided I really didn't like the bows, so I took them off.  I was looking at the card and thinking about all the problems my friend was going through right now and decided to turn this into a card for her.  I got out my favorite Verve stamp set and stamped my card in two colors.  Next I added some liquid pearls.  I was still thinking about the sketch and so I went searching for some buttons and added them.  I love how it turned out.... so much better than the first version of the card.  :)

Good Morning!

I made another card using a different spellbinder die and verve stamps.  Most of you know that I am not a stamper, I really am terrible at it.  However, I won one of the contests over at Mojo Mondays and the prize was a verve stamp of my choice.  I picked the Wishing You set and I LOVE it!!  I've used it on several projects and have not had a single problem with it.  I was thrilled to find a stamp set that in my hands did not ruin a project.  :)

I was over at Amazing Paper Grace blog the other day and found an awesome card I wanted to try out.  It's an interlocking card using spellbinders.  Becca makes the most amazing cards!  While my card is not as fancy as hers, I liked it and used it for an Anniversary card.
