Good Morning!

I finally made it out of bed, somewhat recovered from last week's surgery!  Of course one of the first things I did was make it into my craft room and play along with Mojo Monday.

On Monday of this week, I posted 2 cards I made using Viva la Verve Sketches.  I made another two cards using the same sketch and the same paper.  lol  I really love Heartfelt Creations Raindrops on Roses paper, the purple roses are so pretty, imo.

Good Afternoon!

It's contest week over at Mojo Monday!

The sketch...

Over at the Stamp4Joy blog, they did a card with this sketch that I just loved!  It's not my normal type of card because I rarely used plain backgrounds, let along white ones.  Because of that, I decided to challenge myself and use a white background too.  I think it turned out ok, but it wasn't one of my favorites, so I'll probably use the sketch again.  But I would like to thank Rebecca for the inspiration, I loved her card!!

VlV, November, week 1

Good Morning!

Viva la Verve Sketches posted November's first week sketch on Friday.

I used my favorite Heartfelt Creations paper along with one of my favorite Verve stamp sets, Brighter Days, to make some thank you cards.  I have finally gotten all my Christmas cards done, addressed, stamped and ready to go along with all the birthday cards that need to go in the next two months.  I'm having surgery soon and I wanted to have as much ready as possible.  The one thing I didn't think of, was Thank You cards.  lol  I've had a lot of offers of help while I'm laid up, but I just didn't think of those cards until Sunday.  So I used the above sketch to make 2 different cards.  :)

Mojo Monday #472

Good Morning!

Mojo Monday has this weeks new sketch posted.

My take is a little bit different because I don't like square cards, only because they cost more to mail.  I made my card 5 x 7 and used an oval instead of the biggest circle Mojo Monday used.  Other than those two things, I stuck to the sketch.  :)
