Sketch for Bo Bunny

Good Afternoon!

Over at Creative Scrappers I found a link for a Bo Bunny Sketch.  I really liked the sketch, but I have no idea if you have to use Bo Bunny papers or not.  I don't have any of their papers, but I followed the sketch anyways.

Thanks for looking!

Boys Rule Sketch

Good Morning!

There is another sketch by Jenny Evans up at Boy's Rule. I love the sketches that Jenny does and this one was no exception.

And my take on her sketch...

If you're interested in how I put my layouts together, sizes, cartridges I used, different products I used or anything else about them, please let me know. Most people don't comment on blogs, which is ok. I just don't want to spend the time writing things up if no one is really interested  If you are interested I will be more than happy to write up what I've done, just let me know.

Have a great day!!

Creative Scrappers #208

Happy Friday everyone!

I finished another layout last night using the sketch from Creative Scrappers .

A few weeks ago I picked up two things from a Rummage sale, a stuff dog and a Scooby Doo child's chair.  The dog was meant for my Mom's dog, I was planning on taking it up to the lake (we both have cabin's at the lake and are neighbors there) to give to her there.  The chair I bought for my Grandson.  He's wayyy to young for it yet, but his Daddy LOVED Scooby Doo as a kid so I couldn't pass it up.  Nothing worked out as planned.  My Grandson loved the dog, so I gave it to him (after washing it of course)

and Rummy (He was picked up at a Rummage sale 10 years ago, hence the name) took over the chair.

How he manages to keep his big body on it I don't know.  The other two have tried to sit in it, but Rummy knocks them off the chair and won't let anyone else sit there.    I couldn't resist scrapping those pics, so this is what I came up with!

Thanks for looking!  Have a great weekend!

Creative Scrappers #207

Hello!

I just finished up a layout for Creative Scrappers sketch-207 and I couldn't wait to post it!  I love this sketch, although it was a hard one until I found the right paper.

All the patterned paper I used came from K&Company, the TC Cottage Garden stack.  I've had this stack for awhile now and I don't have much left, but I do have a lot of scraps leftover.  I think part of the reason I love this layout so much is because all the scraps I used were from cards I made for my Mom.  She's always loved Iris's and this stack had a lot of them.  For her birthday I made her roughly 20 cards from this stack.  So using these left overs for a layout that features her and my Grandson made it so much better to me.

The verse I used says "No earthly joy could bring more pleasure than a little child to love and treasure" which I printed on vellum paper.

DCWV Sketch

Good Morning!

There is a sketch challenge up over at DCWV .  It's a great sketch, done by Jana Eubank, her blog of sketches is here .

I actually did two layouts with this sketch, something I don't normally do.  I could claim it's because I really liked this sketch, which would be true... but not the truth.  The problem I had is this... most sketch challenges you can use whatever you want to, but DCWV wants you to use their stacks, which makes sense... I just forgot about it when I made the first one.  :)   So I made another one using the Baby Boy Stack.  Those of you who follow my blog, know I use that stack A LOT!!  I only have about 1/3 of the stack left and I can honestly say I'll use every page... something that normally doesn't happen.  Let's be honest, not every page in a stack is great... except this stack.

Anyways... my first layout is using papers that I've had for about 3 years and never thought I would use... but I really liked how it turned out.

The next layout is using DCWV, the Baby Boy stack...

My youngest step brother Andy's son (Arlo) is adopted and was a premie.  He is actually 3 weeks older than my Grandson Bentlee.  I laugh at my step Dad that I can now call him Great Grandpa, he had a hard time when he married my Mom and my kids called him Grandpa.  Don't misread anything here... he is an AWESOME Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa... he just had that guy age hang up thing going that some guys go through.  :)

Thanks for looking.
Have a great day!!

creative Scrappers #206 & Frosted Designs

Good Morning!

Today I finished up the challenge for Creative Scrappers #206 .

The challenge for Frosted Designs was to add lacing to any project, found here.  I had some left over pieces from some cards I had made and was able to add that to my layout.
