Jordan's Book

Good Morning!

Today is my DT day to post over at TheBugbytes!  A warning, there are a lot of photos!

My parent's took my nephew to see Thomas The Tank Engine over at The Domes.  My Mom wanted me to make a book for Jordan, so that he could look at the pictures they took that day.  She must have planned this out ahead of time, because she took pictures from the time she picked him up until they got back home!

I started out with 6 pieces of cardboard and 2 heavy pieces of chip board, all cut to 8 X 8.  Because this book is for a 2 1/2 year old (he's very careful with his books!!  Not your typical 2 year old.) I made tabs spelling out his name so he could easily turn each page.

Before I started adding the paper, I inked all my edges.

I used both red line tape and my pink atg gun to make sure the patterned paper held up to little fingers.

Between the red and blue mat I made a pocket.  I laminated the receipts for the Dome's and the gift shop.

Backside of N...(it's a shame that his love of shoveling will probably end about the time he's big enough to actually help! lol)

Inside back cover... (A photo I got from the Dome's website, it didn't print well, so I will just have to take my Grandson next year and replace that one!)

Outside back cover...(this was also laminated because it's on the back of the cover.  This is more for when he's older, right now he wouldn't care.)

All put together with 1in wires using my cinch...

There was a lot of inking, faux stitching and I used a lot of liquid pearls in this project.  Instead of posting even more pictures of each detail, you can click on each picture to enlarge it.  :)

Have an awesome day!

Easter

Good Morning!

Over at My Scraps & More Sketches, they have an interesting (at least I thought so!) sketch up... I don't normally do this type of sketch, so I was  happy for the challenge.  :)  It did meet with Sassy's approval, although she would have preferred to help more with the liquid pearls.  lol

The sketch...

My take on it, along with some extra photo's.  I will add my photo where the white paper is once I get it printed :)   ....

Happy Easter!!

Good Morning and Happy Easter!

Easter is my favorite holiday, second only to Christmas.  I love the colors and flowers and people generally just seem happier.  I made up several Easter cards this year, using my Expression and Create a critter.  I bought it when PC had a sale on their digital carts, I don't normally like doing that... but I had to have this cart... I wanted those eggs.  :)

Happy Birthday

Good Morning, again!

Since it's the end of the month, most challenges are ending, so I needed to double up some posts this weekend.  lol

I finally finished up Week 4 over at Let's Get Sketchy!

I got a card in my head as soon as I seen this sketch.  It's another one of them that I will put aside and use it for a layout later on.

My card...

Mojo Monday

Good Morning!

Mojo Monday has another great sketch posted!

Some detail photos...

The paper is, K&Company, of course and so is the butterfly sticker.  I used a white gel pen and petal pink liquid pearls.  The circle is spellbinders Splendid circles with a maroon ribbon woven it.
