Mojo Monday Sketch

This week we have a fun theme at Sweetsassydiva's, using a Mojo Monday Sketch! I can't wait to see what the rest of the design team comes up with for this sketch. I'm using this sketch to make a birthday card for my son's 21st birthday.

The tags was cut from Sentimentals, @ 3 and I used my white gel pen to add a border to the dark blue tag.
The scalloped circle was cut from Easter 2010 @ 3. I used my Gypsy to hide the inside cuts on it.
The banner was cut from Lovely Floral, @ 3. I used my Gypsy to hide the two slits in the banner and the circle part of the image. I used my white gel pen to add the border.
I used Straight from the Nest to cut out the cupcake @ 2.
I used Sweet Treats to cut out "21" @ 1.5 and added orange stickles to the flame.

Thanks for looking.

For my project, I went with the Crafty Me and of course I used Pam's sketch! I love her sketches!

My first thought when I heard about this blog hop was the picture of me holding my Grandson in my craftroom. He was only 2 weeks old at the time and crabby that night. He wanted to be held, but the only room he would stop crying in was my craftroom. I told his parents he was a child after my own heart, lovin my crafty space! lol

With the exception of the full background page, everything was either cut from scraps or something I've had in my stash for awhile.

I started out with Nonna's Garden paper pack from Hot off the Press, I love this paper!

I used my MS punches and spellbinder dies to cut the accent pieces.

From my Sophie cartridge, I used my gypsy and added two frames to the screen @ 7.5. On one frame I added a square from George's basic shapes and on the other I hid all the inside cuts to make a black out shape.

I cut another square for inside my frame.

And added my picture.

I typed up my description and cut it out with my spellbinders die and glued them all together.

I put two Reflections flowers together and added some Reflections bling to the corner. I also add some velvet hot pink ribbon to my side border.

I added my scrap pieces to the bottom and added some bling to the frame...

and glued everything down.

Next stop is Deb's Electric Thoughts. Enjoy the rest of the blog hop!

Happy Easter cards

Happy Easter! I hope you all have a wonderful day.

This week we have a fun theme at Sweetsassydiva's this week, Hens or Chicks! I love Easter, besides Christmas it's my favorite holiday. I love all the cheerful pastel colors.

I used Celebrate with flourish for both cards. The basket was cut out @ 5. I used some pearls for the handle and a white gel pen to decorate the eggs. I had some stickers for the happy Easter along with the 2 small eggs that I added some stickles to.

The chick was cut out @ 3. I used a spellbinders die for the tag and the same Happy Easter stickers.

Frosted Designs # 38

Good Morning!

Today's layout is another sketch from Frosted Designs.

For some reason this one was really hard for me to do. I just couldn't come up with any ideas using a large star shape. When I finally came up with a shape I wanted to use, everything else fell into place. That is part of the reason I started using sketches in the first place, to challenge myself to do something different and to catch up on my photos! I'm happy to say I am finally caught up!! Of course I have new photo's to pick up again, but only 25 or so. :) Another surprise... this layout is NOT of my Grandson! It was of my Nephew and Dad at last year's family reunion. We've done color scheme's ever since my kids were little... so much easier to keep track of who belongs to us at the camp ground.

Planting Schoolbook: ribbon (minus the tails!) was cut @ 12.30 and decorated with stickles. Oops, I forgot to get a picture of that, sorry!

Sentimentals: both tags, the largest being cut @ 3, and then 1/4 smaller for the next sizes.

The insides of both tags were inked in sky blue pearlescent ink.
and all together...

The frame was cut from Fancy Frames, cut @ 5.58

I used my white gel pen to add "stitching"...

For my background paper I used DCWV, the Tradewinds Stack.

Some of the detailed pictures...

The finished layout...

DCWV sketch

Good Morning!

Today I followed the sketch on DCWV and used the Coral Couture stack, also from DCWV.

My wonderful Grandson was smiling and laughing one night and I was trying to get pictures of his smile... but every time I lifted up the camera, he stopped. lol But I did get a few of his coo'ing.
