A Shape Card

I'm loving the Tie The Knot cartridge!! For this card I used the Card layer @ 5.5 and then stretched it out to 4.25 wide using Design Studio. I also used the hide contour feature to hide the corset cut outs. I used copy and paste, flipped the left side and welded them together to make the base card. I also cut two more, each slightly smaller than the last (hiding the contour on each one!) in different colors. I cut the corset and all it's layers @ 4.75. I glued everything together and added some gems and a bow!

Easel Card

I like making Easel cards for something different. I start with a 4.25 X 11 inch base. I fold the card in half and crease it, then I take the top half and fold that in half and crease that also.

From there I cut out 2 different color papers. In this case the purple is cut @ 5.5 X 4.25 and 4.25 X 3. I then cut the patterned paper @ 5.25 X 4 and 4 X 2.75.

The largest piece gets glued down to the back side of top folded piece. I know it sounds confusing, but when you get started making one and look at the picture it will make sense. (If not, let me know and I'll try to explain it better!)

To decorate the outside of the card, I used Sweethearts and cut the champagne glasses @ 4. I topped off the bow with a purple gem. I cut celebrate out from the elegant cakes cartridge @ 1. On the bottom layer I put a row of purple gems along the top patterned paper to hold the card upright.

To finish off the card I cut a a piece of banana paper @ 5.25 X 4 and inked the edges so there would be a place to write any sentiment and sign the card.

Life's is A Beach card

Just a quick card from LAB, which I just got. I used a standard 4.24 X 5.5 card and picked the lizard from page 56. I cut a few extra's and changed up the colors. I also used some stickles for the eyes. I have no idea what I'm going to use it for yet, but I wanted to "break in" the cartridge. :)

Wisconsin Circle Meet Up ~ finally!

I've been waiting for Everyday Cricut to do my LO from last year's meet up. The letters were cut @ 2, the Cricut was cut @ 4, the circle was cut @ 10 and the pink Cricut Circle was from the headband we were all wearing. I used a white pen for the "stitching" and blinged up the words. TFL

Stationary Set

The only cricut cuts are the folder and the lattice card. I used George and Holiday cakes. The diamond lattice card is a cut file I downloaded from the internet, it was not my design. As soon as I remember where I got it from, I will post it.

Easter LO & Banner

It's a bit early for this, I know. I've been working on some things, I just haven't posted them yet, so that's what I'm doing today. I used the Easter 2010 for the LO and several different carts for the banner.

Happiness is...

Bobbi Jo from SweetSassyDiva was one of two who won the Cricut cruise for bringing in the most people to the Cricut Circle. While she was gone she was able to post some pictures to her blog about the cruise. She posted a picture of her husband on the cruise here on this post. When I saw that picture the idea for this page popped into my head and I had to make it for her! I used several different cartridges on this, along with stickles, a Recollections dimensional stickers, a white gel pen for the "stitching" and a Viva Decor violet Pearl Pen.
Recipe:
Elegant Cakes: Happiness @ 2.5
Moment @ 1.5
Shared @ 1.15 using chomas' pens, purple
Picturesque: Flower @ 3
Butterfly @ 2.25
Holiday Cakes: Small words @ .25 and 1 using the cricut markers, rose
Country Life: Friend @ 1.5

Stand and Salute Word Book

I bought the Stand and Salute cartridge as soon as my nephew joined the military.  I wanted to make something for my brother to put pictures in and decided on a word book.  The cartridge made this book so easy to make!  Time consuming, but easy.  I also used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More for the tags.   The end result is a book that is 4 ¾ by 12 inches long.  All the paper used in this book is from K&Company’s Ameriana pad, except for the solid sheets.

United We Stand is on page 62 cut at 2 ½ X7 ¼  with assorted left over stars attached with pop dots.

The pull out tag and envie on Page 2 are from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, cut at 2X3 1/2 .  The ribbon is from Joann’s.
The photo frame on page 3 is 3 ½ X4 ½  from S&S page 63 and the star is on page 32

Page 4 and 5 are just basic photo mats

Page 6 is another pull out tag from TBB&M cut at 3 ¼ X4 ½ .  I used left over paper and a MS punch.

Page 7 is another photo mat with the photo fitting behind the God Bless America cut at 5 ¾ X 5  found on page 68.  My Hero, page 66 is cut at 2 ½ X 4 ½ .  The stars again are on page 32.

Page 8 is another pull out photo mat.  The banner is on page 26, cut at 3 x 4 ½, the photo mat is 3 ¼ x 3 ¾ .  The star border is also on page 32.

Page 9 (last page) has two accordion type photo mats holding 4 photos each, shown below.  Each paper is 12 x 4 ½ , scored at 4 in intervals with 3 ¾ X 4 1/8 mats and ribbon to open the pages.  The eagle is cut at 4 inches, on page 29.

March Scrapbook page

For those following, you know that this year I started doing a scrapbook page to start every month in the scrapbook. I used the rainbow from Hello Kitty @ 9. I cut off the cloud and saved it. I used it for a template to color the background with Memories Mists, blue hawaiian, moving the template down a bit each time. I used A Child's Year to cut the pot of gold @ 3 and the hat @ 4. The big clover was from Paper Doll Dress Up @4. The smaller two are from Celebrate With Flourish @ 2. The March 2011 is from Country Life (I love that font!) @ 1.75

Ivy shelf

Hubby put up some shelves for me today in my craft room/office/cat room. I used Paper doll dress up to cut the ivy @ 1 inch.

I also took the box I made yesterday for the challenge and put some dry foam in it and added flowers.

All that's left is some more ivy vinyl for the other shelves and some vinyl for the wall above when I decide which saying I want. The exclusive Cricut Everyday cartridge has some great sayings!

Cricut Circle Magazine monthly challenge

The challenge for this month was to use the Cricut Everyday cartridge and create something that you would use to define yourself at Meet-ups, Crops or any other circle event!! I decided to make a box to put my spatula, dental tool (whatever it's called! lol) pens in so that they would be handy. The box itself is cut @ 8.85, along with the layer. The bug head and everything else was cut @2.

It's your Day ~ birthday card

Another easel card. It could easily be any type of card, but for this one I made it a birthday card. I used the Wrap it Up cartridge, balloons cut @ 4 and from the Stamping cartridge the It's Your Day was cut @ 2.5. For these types of easel card you have to use heavier paper! Lesson learned the hard way. LOL I used some left over ribbons to add to the balloon strings.

Big Bird Easel Card

I picked up the Sesame Street Friends cartridge at Michaels while they were $9.99. I just couldn't pass up that price. :) I cut out Big Bird and the layers @ 6 and feel better soon from Lyrical Letters @ 2.75. The easel card itself is 5 x 12. It's scored at 3 and again at 6. The blue pieces were cut @ 3 x 5 and the yellow piece was cut @ 2.5 x 4.

Ariel ~ Weekly Blog Challenge

The challenge this week is called "Once upon a Time" and we are to include a fairytake or folklore figure in our project. Since my kids are grown and no grandkids in my near future this was a little harder for me. I decided on Ariel because my daughter had a rough week and as a little girl she LOVED Ariel!! I wish I could find a picture of her in her little Ariel dress. LOL Anyway, on to the card...
Ariel was cut @ 6 from the Disney-Princesses Dreams Come True and the comb (shift key of the same image) was cut @ 1.
