Assorted cards

Good Morning!

Like I explained in yesterdays post, I've spent some time in my craftroom, but haven't been posting things lately.  Below are a few of the cards I've made lately.

The latest one I made came from Yana Smakula's card HERE.  She makes some amazing cards and on her video's she shows exactly how she makes her cards, along with tips here and there.

Baby shower invites, thank you notes and assorted things

Good Morning!

Wow, I didn't realize how long it's been since I posted anything!  I've spent some time in my craftroom lately, but I've also spend a lot of time up in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with my Granddaughter.  My daughter developed HELLP syndrome and they had to take my Granddaughter 4 months early to keep my daughter alive.  In a matter of 3 days, she went from being totally fine to coming extremely close to death.  That's more stress than I could ever explain!  It's looking like my Granddaughter will come home next month.  She's doing fairly well, she now weighs 4 pounds 4 ounces!  She was born weighing only 1 pound 1.2 ounces.  Once she's home from the NICU, I hope to be back to blogging my cards on a regular basis.

This is some of what I've been up to since September.  (Besides not remembering to blog my cards, I've also forgotten to take pictures of a lot of them.)

I made two diaper wreaths for the shower...

I was asked to make a boxed set of cards for someone who brought treats for the shower.  I only had 2 days to come up with something and then make them.  So I came up with this...

Butterfly Cards

Good Morning!

This past summer, at Scrapbook Expo, my Mom and I picked up the Papillon Edge'ables die called Die'sire by Crafter's Companion.  It took a little bit to figure out how it worked, but I really like how they turned out!

More Christmas Cards (Lots of pictures!)

Good Afternoon!

Wow, I didn't realize it's been so long since I last posted.  I have been busy in my craft room though.  I last posted some of the Christmas cards I had done, but I didn't have enough, so I've been busy making some more.

 I had so much fun using my new die from Paper Wishes, found here, that I had to do some Thanksgiving cards too.  :)

Then it was back to Christmas cards again!  :)

Christmas Cards

Good Morning!

Like I promised yesterday, I have Christmas cards today.  I was looking around Pinterest and found lots of ideas and from mixing all of them together, I came up with these...

I made a few of each patterned paper, but I ran out of red and green paper.  The poinsettias were from HobbyLobby at a great price!  The greenery was from a Martha Steward punch and the embossed sentiment was made with a Verve stamp from the Peace On Earth collection.  The large die is from a Spellbinders die.  I still have more cards to make, but I only have blue paper left, so I'll be back when I decide what to do with that.

Guy Cards with Heartfelt Creations

Hello again!

I have 2 more cards today.  I needed 2 "guy" themed cards today for my brother's birthday and my sons, but that's one type of card I never seem to have extras of.  I went to Pinterest for ideas and found a great card idea at King's On Paddington.

I used my paper for Heartfelt Creations, Woodsy Wonderland, some patterned paper from Hot off the Press and part of a Kleenex box.

The blue strip is from the Kleenex box and the background paper is Hot Off the Press.  The rest of the paper is from the Woodsy Wonderland Collection.

Viva la Verve is back!

I was so happy that Viva la Verve Sketches came back!  I've really missed the Mojo Monday sketches.  They are doing a month long sketch for this month, so you'll be seeing a few done with this sketch.  :)

Pinterest inspired cards...

Good Morning!

Like most people, I have a Pinterest account and a ton of pins of cards that I like, or would like to make.  I've had this card pinned for a long time and this summer bought the spellbinders die used for this, Fleur de Elegance.  The card was made by Cathy over at Sew Creative.  I LOVE this card!!

I ended up making two cards, each a little different.  I used Heartfelt Creations paper.  The second one I made because I had found an image I had cut out a while back and didn't end up using then.
