Butterfly Cards

Good Morning!

This past summer, at Scrapbook Expo, my Mom and I picked up the Papillon Edge'ables die called Die'sire by Crafter's Companion.  It took a little bit to figure out how it worked, but I really like how they turned out!

More Christmas Cards (Lots of pictures!)

Good Afternoon!

Wow, I didn't realize it's been so long since I last posted.  I have been busy in my craft room though.  I last posted some of the Christmas cards I had done, but I didn't have enough, so I've been busy making some more.

I had so much fun using my new die from Paper Wishes, found here, that I had to do some Thanksgiving cards too.  :)

Then it was back to Christmas cards again!  :)

Finally, I had enough Christmas cards!

Christmas Cards

Good Morning!

Like I promised yesterday, I have Christmas cards today.  I was looking around Pinterest and found lots of ideas and from mixing all of them together, I came up with these...

I made a few of each patterned paper, but I ran out of red and green paper.  The poinsettias were from HobbyLobby at a great price!  The greenery was from a Martha Steward punch and the embossed sentiment was made with a Verve stamp from the Peace On Earth collection.  The large die is from a Spellbinders die.  I still have more cards to make, but I only have blue paper left, so I'll be back when I decide what to do with that.

Have a great day!

Guy Cards with Heartfelt Creations

Hello again!

I have 2 more cards today.  I needed 2 "guy" themed cards today for my brother's birthday and my sons, but that's one type of card I never seem to have extras of.  I went to Pinterest for ideas and found a great card idea at King's On Paddington.

I used my paper for Heartfelt Creations, Woodsy Wonderland, some patterned paper from Hot off the Press and part of a Kleenex box.

The blue strip is from the Kleenex box and the background paper is Hot Off the Press.  The rest of the paper is from the Woodsy Wonderland Collection.

I'll be back tomorrow with some Christmas cards.  Have a great day!

Viva la Verve Sketches

Good Morning!

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, but I have been playing in my craft room.  This week I played along with Viva la Verve Sketches again.

The sketch again,

Viva la Verve Sketches, 2

Good Afternoon!

This is the other card I made using Viva la Verve Sketches.  I was waiting for the Glossy Accents to dry on the flower.

Have a great day!

Viva la Verve is back!

Good Morning!

I was so happy that Viva la Verve Sketches came back!  I've really missed the Mojo Monday sketches.  They are doing a month long sketch for this month, so you'll be seeing a few done with this sketch.  :)

My first take on this sketch...

I'll have another one finished this afternoon.  It wasn't dry by the time I posted this.

Pinterest inspired cards...

Good Morning!

Like most people, I have a Pinterest account and a ton of pins of cards that I like, or would like to make.  I've had this card pinned for a long time and this summer bought the spellbinders die used for this, Fleur de Elegance.  The card was made by Cathy over at Sew Creative.  I LOVE this card!!

I ended up making two cards, each a little different.  I used Heartfelt Creations paper.  The second one I made because I had found an image I had cut out a while back and didn't end up using then.

This is the first card...

This is the 2nd card, with the printed image...

TMS #408

Good Morning!

I played along with Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.  It was funny how this card came about, it has to be the fastest card I've ever made!

The sketch...

I couldn't decide on what size the squares/diamonds should be, I cut them out on two pieces of card stock I've had for years.  (That way I wouldn't mind when I tossed them out.)  I had the patterned paper on my desk that I wanted to use already.  I just grabbed the butterfly image to make sure the size would work and my card was "born".  :)

I don't do square cards because they cost more to mail, so I made this a 5 x 7 card.

Final Mojo Monday

Good Morning,

I'm very sad to say this will be my final Mojo Monday post.  I've only been playing along a few years, but this has been the best sketch site (for me and how I craft) that I've found so far.  I'll still play along with Tuesday Morning Sketches, but it's just not the same.  (Good, but made mostly for stampers)  I'm happy Julee will be able to spend more time with her family, I completely understand why she's stopping the website and I'm happy for her.

Final sketch...

I made 3 Father's Day cards with this sketch...

If anyone knows of another sketch site similar to Mojo Monday, I would love to hear about it.  Good Luck with everything Julee, you will be missed!

Mojo Monday #497

Good Morning!

Mojo Monday has another fun sketch up this week.

The sketch...
My take on it...

It's been a while since I've used Glossy Accents, so after I added stickles to the butterfly, I added a coat of glossy accents to the butterfly.

Mojo Monday #2

Good Morning!

I did do another card for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch.  (See previous post for the sketch)

Have an awesome weekend!
