Stuck on U sketch

Good Morning!

 I've always liked the Stuck On U Sketches blog, they do some amazing layouts, but I've never played along... until today. They have a great sketch challenge going on right now, HERE!

I thought it would be an easy sketch for me to do. As soon as I seen it I knew what picture I wanted to use.
My family is always giving me a hard time because I never scrap pictures of me. All that changed on January 9th when my first Grandson was born. I'm amazed every time I see him how much he looks exactly like his Dad, my youngest son.

I used a paper pack from Paper Wishes called Enchanted Moments, found HERE.

I'm also using the layout I did for the Frosted Designs rolled paper challenge, found HERE.

The flowers I used were cut from Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge, cut @ 3 inches.

For my layout I used the last full sheet from my paper pack. All the other pieces I used were scraps, except the 3 different ribbons I used.

Creative Scrappers sketch # 205

Good Morning!

I love the latest sketch on creative scrappers!
This was such an easy sketch for me to follow. It took me about an to create the whole page. Had Trouble (my white cat) not been helping, it would have went faster.

 I used my DCWV Baby Boy stack, some gems from Michael's, a white gel pen, some scraps and my tape runner. I'm not sure if I love how it turned out because of how it looks, or the picture I used.
My step brother met my Grandson for the first time last Sunday. They just adopted a baby, which is why he hadn't met my Grandson before now. Anyways, we swapped babies and my Grandson had a fit!! He wouldn't stop screaming until I sat by him telling him "Grandma's here, it's ok". There is no doubt he's Grandma's boy. Of course I wouldn't have it any other way.

2 new layouts

Good Morning!

I have two new layouts today. One of them I was going to follow the sketch over at PageMaps for the Bella Blvd contest, found HERE!

However, once I got started things didn't work out that way, but I did like what I put together. I'll work on another sketch for the Bella contest when I get more pictures printed.

This layout I really liked the background paper, so I didn't want to add too much to the page and take away from the background.

Wild to Share ~ Boys Rule Sketch

Good Morning!

This week at Sweetsassydiva's the DT is creating something we are wild about. Today I'm also using a Boy's Rule sketch.

I started out with a double sided patterned paper from K & Company. I created a layout on the other side and didn't want to waste this page.

I added a 3 x 12 strip of patterned paper with a darker shadow paper.

Next came a 8.75 x 10 blue, with a brighter blue shadow.

Next came a green patterned paper cut at 7.75 x 9 with a bright green shadow.

I added a blue grey strip at .75 x 10. I also took a strip of patterned paper and used my MS punch to create a heart border at 1.25 x 9.25 and glued them down.

Next I took 3 pictures of my Grandson and trimmed two of them to 3 x 4 and one at 3.25 x 4 and matted them all in light blue and glued them down.

Next I cut out three arrows from Gypsy Wanderings at 1.6 x 5.25, 1.5 x 3.32 and 1.10 x 2.39. I ran two of them through my big shot with a cuddlebug folder.

and glued them down.

I cut out two green star shapes at 2 x 2 from Gypsy Wanderings and glued them down.

From Cindy Lou I cut out the word Boys in blue and green at 1.3 and glued that down. I added some gems, some stickles and used my white gel pen.

Just some detail shots...

A Liz Qualman sketch

~~~I don't know what was up with blogger this weekend! Grrrr. My Saturday post (this one) never posted and neither did my Sunday post, which I fixed earlier this morning.~~~~
Good Morning!
I hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far! I have a Liz Qualman sketch today, found HERE!
Not only do I love Liz's sketches, but the layouts she does are amazing!
For today's layout I actually scrapped pictures other than of my Grandson. LOL If you notice in the second picture, Rummy (black) and Trouble (white)are both laying towards my scrapping tables and you can see my big kick and gypsy. They face whatever direction I happen to be in when they lay down to nap.
Enjoy the weekend!
Sketchabilities sketch #69
Good Morning!
Today's sketch came from Sketchabilities!
I had fun with this sketch and even used some mulberry paper that I've had for over 3 years. I wet the paper and frayed the edges and then hung it up to dry. I had to laugh because my husband asked me if I finally went off the deep end when he seen me hanging up paper outside to dry. :/ But even he admitted he liked how it turned out.
I cut the monkeys from Paper Dolls for Everyday @ 3 and 5. I added glossy accents and stickles to the belly and tail. I also used stickles for the eyes, mouth, nose and ears. The word play was cut from Gypsy Wanderings @ 3.
Detail pictures...
Another Liz Qualman sketch!
Good Morning!
I'm finally feeling better after a bout a strep throat and back to catching up on Sketches. Today's sketch is from Liz at My Little Sketch blook, posted on March 25th.
The background paper I used, along with the gel pen came from a kit I won on the Frosted Designs blog from Miss Art's here!. I have to tell you, I love this kit! All the paper is double sided and sturdy with bright colors. The gel pen is a signo uniball and works so much better than the white gel pen I was using. The kit also came with some prima flowers, ribbon and cute buttons.
My Grandson is so funny, he reminds me so much of his dad! My kids always threw a huge fit whenever my Mom left or when I picked them up from her house, so when Bentlee wouldn't look at his Mom after a weekend at my house I had to laugh. I remember how crushed I was the first dozen times my kids did it to me. :) I love his expressive face... and he's only 3 months old!
