Here comes trouble!

Good Morning!

It's week 3 over at Lets Get Sketchy, so another awesome sketch and even more awesome inspiration!!

The sketch...

My take on their sketch...
I pulled out the camera when my Grandson showed me how he can stand up on his own and of course he has to make funny faces!  It captured his fun personality and of course all the drool!  LOL  Poor baby is always teething.  :)  NOT, mind you, that he will let me get pictures of his 4 new teeth!

Thanks for looking and I really do appreciate all the wonderful comments!!

Time Together

Good Morning!

Creative Scrappers has sketch #230 up, this one by Jenny Evans!

My take on their sketch...

My favorite part of this layout is the paper!  I've been saving it because I love the background paper, but finally decided that saving it makes no sense... I don't see it when it's not used!  lol  The paper is from Hot Off The Press, Nonna Garden.

You are so special

Good Morning!
SOUS has a fun and awesome sketch up, HERE.  I really had fun doing this sketch!

Some detail photos...

I used two different punches to create the borders and added some liquid pearls.

I used a MS punch around the page to border my picture and added liquid pearls again, but in a lighter color so I didn't take anything from the frame or picture.

I actually took a needle and ribbon and threaded my banner.  (Note to self, give more space for the needle on the edges! lol)

The little birds I colored with inks, they are Glimmer Chips from Tattered Angels and such fun to work with!  I won them from BoysRule, which makes them even better!

The picture is of my Grandson giving me adoring looks because A, I'm one of his favorite people, 2nd only to his parents and B, I had just given him some of my doughnut!  LOL

Lil Monster

Good Morning!
I had so much following sketch #229 from Creative Scrappers!  Of course I always enjoy scrapping my Grandson, but his jammies were just so cute, I couldn't resist!  This also fits over at StuckOnUSketches, their creepy crawly die cut challenge.  Now, my Grandson isn't creepy, but he's certainly crawling and he does have a bug on his butt!  LOL

The title does show up better in person, these pictures don't do it justice.

Lets Get Sketchy, again!

Good Morning!
The other day I did  sketch #2 from Lets Get Sketchy.  Today I finally did the 1st sketch.  I loved the sketch, but I had the hardest time finding the right background paper for it, which is why I did the 2nd one 1st.  lol  Today I finally found the right paper and I love how it turned out!!

For those who follow my blog know, starting from the left are my Grandson, my youngest son, my wonderful husband and my awesome step Dad.  My life would not be the same without them in it!

Sympathy Card

Good Morning,
Unfortunately I had to make a sympathy card this weekend.  I used the sketch from StuckOnUSketches and the Fabulous Friday's Challenge over at Frosted Designs to use Doilies.

4 Generations

Hi!
I finally got my craft room reorganized and was able to get a layout done!  Thanks to my sister re-doing her kitchen, she's giving us her "old" kitchen table which left me with an extra.  My first thought was "awesome, I will finally have enough space to work on!"  lol

I'm thrilled with how it turned out!  So are the cats (you can see Sassy asleep on my desk chair!), they love have the extra surface space to lay down on.  Trouble was on the other chair, until I picked up my camera.  Rummy, who's very ill, will only lay down on harder surfaces right now, (except for my rocker in the living room) so the table works out purrfectly.

Anyways!  I was able to do a sketch from StuckOnUSketches tonight!

Joy Fold Thanksgiving card

Good Morning!
Today is my day to post over at The Bugbytes and I wanted to do something different.  Over at Splitcoast Stampers, I found the directions to make a Joy Fold card.

I started out with two pieces of card stock cut at 4 x 8.5 (scored at 5.5) and 3 x 8 (scored at 4).

I then cut out (1) 4 x 5.25 piece of patterned paper.
I also cut out 3 different pieces of paper at 2.75 x 3.75.
I inked around the edges of all the patterned paper and then started to put everything together.

On the 3 x 8 piece of card stock I place the patterned paper on each side as shown.

I glued down the smaller piece of card stock to the larger piece.
Having never made one of these cards before, I decided I really didn't like the inside of darker orange cardstock blank, so I cut another piece of patterned paper at 2.75 x 3.75 and glued that down.  From there I started decorating my card.  I used a tag (a time to give thanks) with a pop glue dot to hold the flap of my card closed.

I really like how this card turned out.  They are a lot more work, but I think it was worth the effort!
