B's 1st Popsicle!

Good Morning!

Creative Scrapper has a new sketch up, # 227.

My take on the sketch...
What a sticky mess he was!!!  The 3rd picture shows his reaction when he bit off a chunk of the popsicle and discovered cold.  He was not real happy with the concept, yet he kept opening his mouth for more.  Popsicle's have become his favorite teething relief at Grandma's house.  It could be because they are always followed up with a bath.  :)

Hand prints!

Sketchabilities is having a giveaway here.  Even if you don't play along with the sketch, you really should check out all the awesome layouts that everyone has done.  I don't mean just the DT either, although they did a great job, so did everyone who played along!

I decided to finally use the pictures I took from our Family Reunion this year of the little ones doing their hand prints.  I think Osten's was the funniest to watch, but he was only 5 weeks old at the time and not impressed with putting his hand in the paint!  :)  We do this every year on a white table cloth and each year we pick two or three of the previous years to hang up.  It's a great way to see how much the kids have grown.  This year was especially cool to see the parents (2 of my step sister in-laws, 1 soon to be niece in-law and my son) do their hand print next to their child's.  I had some paper on the table and asked each parent to also do a hand print on my paper.

Now, on to the sketch...

Rub a dub

Good Morning!
Bentlee has been having a blast taking bath's at Grandma's house.  I couldn't let those memories just fade, so I did a two page layout of them.  All I need now is a picture of all the water on the counters and floor!  :)

Great Grandma & Bentlee

Hi!
I was thrilled to get in some craft time between laundry loads today!  lol  Most fun I've had doing laundry in.... forever.

Creative Scrappers has sketch #226 up and that's what I worked on today.  I had some great pictures of my Mom and Grandson playing when we went to go visit her a few weeks ago.  I couldn't decide on just two photo's, so I made it into a two page layout.

Bentlee and the ipad camera!

Good Morning!
I managed to do another sketch this past weekend!  I had to let everything dry overnight and I put it together this morning.  Creative Scrappers sketch #224 was the one I finished up this morning.

My take on their sketch...

Detail photos...
This was cut from Paisley @ 4, the orange flower, also from Paisley, was cut @ 5

Both of the following frogs were also from Paisley, cut @ 3.74

The long title was from my label maker.  For those who haven't really paid attention to the ipad, (like me before this!) the ipad can take pictures from the front of it.  My Grandson loves looking at photo's and video's of himself, so he fell in love with this feature and my Daughter had fun with him!

SOUS sketch

Good Morning!
StuckOnUSketches has another sketch posted!  Their DT has some awesome samples posted!!

The sketch...

My layout didn't turn out on paper as well as it did in my head.  :(  I may try another one later in the week and hope for much better results!

Grandma & Jordan

Good Morning!
Boy's Rule put up another sketch on Friday!  I have a few other sketches to do, but this one was so inspiring I had to do it first!  Surprise, surprise it's a sketch by Jenny Evans.  lol

The theme over at Frosted Designs is Journaling, so this also fits their challenge this week!

B's new toy

Good Morning!

I used another sketch from Jenny Evans today.

My layout also fits in with Frosted Design Friday Challenge this week, which is all about phones.  Bentlee's Great Grandma and I went shopping two weeks ago and picked this toy up for him and he LOVES it!  He still thinks the phone (bottom right picture) is for teething on, but better than my finger!  lol  He has one sharp tooth.  :)

Teddy Bear Parade Cards

Good Morning!

I picked up the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge the other day at Walmart.  I haven't had much time to play with it, but I did mange to get three cards done and another bear cut out.  All the bears were cut @ 4.

My step Dad is in the hospital again, he's been in several times this year.  Knowing he needed some cheering up, I made the clown card and inside wrote "quit clowning around and get better soon!".  lol

My in-laws live in Texas, so of course I had to make the cowboy bear for them!

My eldest son is going to be 25 on Tuesday.  Wow time passed by so quickly!  LOL  He's going to love me for this!  He was 3 months old in this picture.

Thanks for looking!  Have a great day!

A Quilted Christmas!

Good Morning!
I’m one of those people who like to have their Christmas cards done long before Halloween.  I go so far as to have mine done before  I even DO my Halloween cards!  Lol So when A Quilted Christmas came out a few weeks ago, I HAD to have it.  I couldn’t wait to make the camel and the snowman/woman.  I didn’t really have any interest in the silhouettes, that’s not normally my style, I prefer layers... usually.  I have to admit, I’m loving the silhouettes on this cartridge.

I cut Santa and the camel out at 5.5 using the card feature and layered a 4.25 X 5.25 from Christmas paper.

I cut several shapes using the silhouette feature, along with the blackout.

Glued them using my zyron.

I couldn’t leave the snow people without charcoal faces (black liquid pearls) and carrot noses using orange stickles!  And Santa needed a beard using frosted stickles.

I made several cards and some regular cuts that you can find here!

I really wanted to do something with the cat, but it just wasn’t working for me.  So I decided to change things up and add a Halloween card to the mix!

I still have a long way to go to get my Christmas cards done, but I wanted to share some of the cuts from A Quilted Christmas with you.  You can find the handbook online HERE.
