More Smypathy Cards

Good Morning!

My Mom, sister and I all have birthday's in December and we all get together every year and go shopping.  I asked my sister what she would like for her birthday, and among other things, she wanted some sympathy cards.

These are what I've done so far...

and another one done with white embossing.  The stamp is from JustRite Stamps, called Kindness.

I also made one using my Heartfelt Creations paper and Spellbinders dies, Romantic Rectangles Two....

Good Afternoon!

I'm finally done with my fall cleaning, so I've been playing in my craft room lately.  :)  One of the cards I've made this week was using the Mojo Monday sketch.

For this card, I used Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Collection.  So far, I haven't found a paper I didn't love!

Sympathy Card

Good Morning,

One of my least favorite cards to make are sympathy cards.  I think it's so hard to find the balance between somber and uplifting.  I want my cards uplift the person reading them - reminding them of the good times and happy memories, while being somber/respectful of what they are going through.

My wonderful Mom In Law has lost so many people this past year.  We lost our Dad In Law a little over a year ago, then two Aunts, a cousin and now she just lost her best friend of over 65 years.  Every time it gets harder and harder to find the right thing to say.  :(

Heartfelt Creations card

Good Morning!

Another card today using the Posy Patch paper from Heartfelt Creations.  This is the first card I made with the paper and I made it using the instructions from Heidi Erickson on the Heartfelt Creations gallery.  The card was titled You are the Sunshine of My Life.  I don't have any of the stamps or dies that go with this collection, so mine is a bit different.  :)

I mentioned in a recent post that I bought some Heartfelt Creations paper and I love it!  I've been spending time in my craft room almost every day this week using the Posy Patch paper collection.

I also found a new awesome blog, Bellisima Vida, she does some amazing cards.  The inspiration for today's card (and tomorrows! lol) comes from a beautiful card Angelica made here.

The stamp is from Verve's Brighter Days collection.  You'll see this collection a lot here, it's my "go to" stamp when I'm making cards for the pleasure of making cards!
