I finally had some time to work on some sketches!  I picked the sketch from Let's Capture Our Memories to make a card.

Good Afternoon!

I was so happy it was Friday I decided to go into my craft room for awhile.  My Scraps & More Sketches made it so easy for me today!!  They posted an awesome sketch today that I used for a card instead of a layout.  I was also able to use my new Graphic45 papers and stickers, which always makes me happy.  :)

Once Upon A Sketch layouts

Good Morning!
The April challenge has been up at Once Upon A Sketch for a few weeks now.  This is another one where I made two because I wasn't totally happy with the first one.  lol

(I did love this piece!  It's from The Dusty Attic, I won it on a blog hop a while back.  I colored it with orange and then red ink and added liquid pearls to the top.)

My 2nd attempted layout...

Detail photos... (I colored a doily and cut it down to fit in the corner.  I took the two left over pieces and added them above and below the dark blue paper.  I hate wasting them!  You'll notice two different spellbinder die sets, I just got them the other day, you'll be seeing a lot of them!)

I made this card for my Mom, to thank her for the awesome purse, tote bag and camera holder that she made me. 

Purse....
(Tall enough to carry my tablet around with me!)

 Notice there are two pockets here, one below the other!  Front and back are the same.

(The tote also has inside pockets so I bring my crafting supplies up to the lake!)

The camera bag, so it doesn't get wet out on the boat this summer!

Mojo Monday trial and error

Good Morning!

I've been playing around with Mojo Monday's sketch for the last two days!  My first two cards were (in my opinion!) terrible.  lol  I did finally manage to make something I'm happy with though.  I'll post all 4 cards, but only because I've noticed that people seem to like the ones I'm not happy with.

lace and pearls butterflies

Good Morning,

I played along over at Crafts and Me Challenges today.  The challenge is lace and pearls.  Their DT is amazing, even though I'm not a stamper.  lol

I don't have much lace in my stash, and what I do have I wasn't happy with.  So instead I used MS punch around the page for my lace.  I didn't like how it looked on a white card, so I took my ink and inked the front of my card before putting my dark blue "lace" on it. 

For the pearls, I used them on the butterfly bodies.

and i used liquid pearls to add some interest to the lace around the edges, even though it's hard to see!
