TMS #393

Good Morning!

I played along with Tuesday Morning Sketches today.

The sketch...
My take on this card is NOT the card I had envisioned when I started, it's not even the subject matter.  I had started out thinking I was going to do an Easter card with a Verve Stamp that I like and have never used.  When I went to grab the oval shape I wanted to use however, I found another that I had made awhile back and never used.  lol  (Sorry this is long!)
I also remembered something I had thought of last week while doing my TMS card.  As I glued that card together I was thinking of all the wasted paper that I used for backgrounds, which made me think.  I did not need to waste that paper.  I used my spellbinders A2 matting basics b die, which worked out great.

I glued my light blue paper onto a darker background, but I first cut out the inside of the dark blue paper.  The front...
the backside of this...
Such a simple thing, but it saves so much paper!

Ok, finally, on to my card!

I did the inside with a pocket, like usual.  I've also started adding a gem or something to add height to make opening the cards easier since mine are a bit top heavy.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
