February ScrapBook page

Instead of trying to date every scrapbook page I do, I borrowed an idea from a woman on the Cricut Circle Message Board. She does a calendar page for every month and then fills in the pages she makes for that month. I thought it was a great idea and started doing that this year. Everything except the the letters were cut from the Sweethearts Cartridge. The lettering was from Elegant Cakes @ 2. The corners were cut @ 3, the balloons @ 6 1/4, the table and layers @ 6.

Liz's Cat

My daughter Liz came over yesterday. She was looking at the Easter box/basket I made and loved the cat on it. She wanted me to make one for her fridge. I was working on another project and told her to make it for herself. I cut the cat out @11 1/4 from Paper Dolls for Everyday. She picked out the color and had fun decorating it herself.

Tissue Paper Flowers

I needed to make a Thank you card today and wanted flowers other than what I had on hand. I took some tissue paper and cut and layered them about 12 high and put a brad through them.
The color brad doesn't matter since you won't see it anyway. I started with the top layer and crushed the paper towards the center.
I worked each layer separately until they were all scrunched up.
Then I started opening them up, starting with the top, until I had a flower I liked.
I used a sizzix die and a ms punch for the ferns, branches and border. I added two different ribbons and glued everything together. I inked the entire card face with red ink.
I had to finish this card fast! Sassy loves crumpled up paper and my working with the tissue paper was more "teasing" than she could take!
I wasn't able to get a picture of the extra completed flowers before Sassy got ahold of them. This is her "Are you seriously yelling at me?!!" face.

Tri Shutter Birthday Card

Today is my favorite SIL's birthday, so I created a tri shutter card for her.

They are easy to make, once you've made your first one. I started out with a piece of purple card stock, 5 1/2 X 12. {I forgot to take a picture of the first part, but luckly I made extra's so I took of picture of them) You cut a line 1 1/2 inches down from the top and 1 1/2 inches up from the bottom, starting at 2 inches in to the 10 inch mark.

Then you score at line 2,4,8 and 10. Cut your patterned paper to fit and decorate.

I used a MS punch on the top of the card and added little flower gems to it. Everything else was from my stash.

Easter Basket/Box

After Christmas, Easter is my favorite holiday. Aside from the meaning, I love how colorful Easter is! I wanted to make some type of decoration and this is what I selected.
I used the fence from My Community cut @ 4 and cut out 4 of them. Because I didn't want it too big, but I did want it tall, I cut off 1 "post" on each.
I folded back each tab and used Terrifically Tacky tape to hold them together.

I cut out a 6x6 piece of patterned paper for the bottom. I scored 1/2 inch all around and then snipped out the corners. I used more Terrifically Tacky tape to hold it in place.

I made 2 cuts of grass from Easter 2010 @3 x 12. I used my scor pal to fold them along the box bottom.
From the Easter 2010 I also cut out the rabbits and flowers @ 2
I used Lacy Labels to cut the frame @3
I used MS Elegant to cut the butterfly @ 1 3/4
I used Holiday Cakes to cut out Happy Easter @ 1 3/4
The cat and ribbons were left overs from another project.

Happy Anniversary

My sister was married 21 years ago today. I was maid of honor, so of course the color was deep purple. lol

Wow, we sure aged! LOL Anyway, I made this card for her anniversary. The heart was cut at 5 from the sweethearts card and the glasses were cut at 3. I used my hot glue gun and added some pearl spray and a calla lilly to each glass and threaded ribbon through the holes on the heart.

The pearl sprays came from some flowers I bought at Hobby Lobby for $1.99, minus my coupon. I pulled the spray out of the flower to use on the card and then added a brad from my collection to the flower, which I really liked how it turned out.
