Thank you card

Good Morning!

I needed a Thank you card for my sister and had an idea of what I wanted in my head.

The back ground spellbinders is exactly what I wanted, but after that... nothing went according to plan!  LOL  Which is ok, because I'm happy with how it all turned out.  Especially the double bow.

While I really shouldn't post this until after Christmas, I'm fairly sure my daughter & son in law will be too busy moving into their first home to check out my blog.  :)  If not, Liz, don't read this one.  LOL

Anyway, my Mom wanted to take some of my daughter's wedding pictures to one of my Step Dad's family functions, so she asked me to make something.  I had been on Graphic 45's blog earlier in the day and seen an awesome tutorial by Annette Green for a coupon book, HERE.  Through several trial and error's, I was able to make a small photo book.  I have a cinch that I love to use, but for this project I wanting more of a binding.  Annette's tutorial was awesome for that.

Because it didn't hold many pictures, I used some ribbon and velcro buttons to add more pictures.

When it's closed, the velcro "buttons" behind the pictures holding them in place.

Spellbinder's Fleur De Lis Accents

Last week I bought the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Accents.  I had found an card on Pinterest  done by Heidi Blankenship that I really liked.  {The link is to her blog, I don't know where on her blog this card is since I found it on Pinterest.}

I've taken quite a bit of time to craft lately, making mostly cards but I've also done some more bon bon or cracker boxes.  Instead of doing several different posts, I'm just going to do this one and put up all the photo's.  If you have an questions on anything, feel free to e-mail me or comment and I will answer your questions.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Good Morning!

Despite all the other cards I made this week, I found time to play along with the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I created the following card, which I think is my favorite this week.

If you look closely, you'll see I used liquid pearls on the flower centers, not to mention around the oval.  For those of you who follow my blog know, I (almost!) always use liquid pearls and ink my layers.

If you look even closer at the bling, you'll see where some of the ink rubbed off and the swirl actually started out pink!  I just used my purple chalk ink and a make up sponge and changed the color.

3 year old birthday card

Good Morning!

My nephew is turning 3 this week so I wanted to make him a special card.  He loves trains, I made him the train book HERE, so of course it had to have one.  After all my pieces were cut out of my expression, I decided to use the Mojo Monday sketch, again.  :)  I did mention the other day that I loved this sketch! lol
