Happy Easter!!

Good Morning and Happy Easter!

Easter is my favorite holiday, second only to Christmas.  I love the colors and flowers and people generally just seem happier.  I made up several Easter cards this year, using my Expression and Create a critter.  I bought it when PC had a sale on their digital carts, I don't normally like doing that... but I had to have this cart... I wanted those eggs.  :)

I finally finished up Week 4 over at Let's Get Sketchy!

I got a card in my head as soon as I seen this sketch.  It's another one of them that I will put aside and use it for a layout later on.

The paper is, K&Company, of course and so is the butterfly sticker.  I used a white gel pen and petal pink liquid pearls.  The circle is spellbinders Splendid circles with a maroon ribbon woven it.

I'm playing catch up this week over at Let's Get Sketchy!  Today I played along with Week 1.  While looking at what other people have done for this sketch to get ideas, I came across Moko's blog.  I loved her use of G45, so I went with her idea.

This isn't the paper I would have picked for these pictures, but it's the back side of the layout I did yesterday.  I liked the paper (it's K&Company, of course!) and didn't want to waste it.  My Grandson loves to play hide n seek, sometimes with me and sometimes by himself with hiding behind his highchair!  I LOVE his imagination!!!  All kids have great ones, but his showed itself at such an early age... he's only 14 months old.  Blessed are the children... for theirs is a world of wonder!

Good Morning, again!

I was faced this morning with a choice between playing along with some challenges or doing laundry.  Playing won out!  I'm certain the laundry isn't going anywhere and I'm positive my husband isn't going to do it either!  lol

I started off with The Shabby Tea Room and then noticed that the Crafts and Me was buttons and bows and finally Fussy and Fancy had a flower them, so my card also fits that challenge.

Since the pictures don't really explain the story if you don't know my Grandson, I'll explain quick.  He has this... thing... for doors being closed!  His Grandpa keeps the cpu door on his desk open so his computer gets enough air.  Bentlee hates it being open!  It doesn't matter how many times you open it, he will be right behind you closing it!  Then he looks at you so you can acknowledge how helpful he is!!  It's funniest when his parents drop him off and they walk out the door, he closes it on them.  LOL  He's so adorable it's very hard to get angry with him.

I really didn't expect to love this sketch... but I do!  You'll probably be seeing more of it.  :)  I do want to try using this sketch as a card, just to challenge myself.
