Good Morning!
This week at SweetSassyDiva's, the design team theme is glitter. Those of you who follow my blog know that for me, glitter means Stickles!! I love using stickles on my layouts, I would say I go overboard with them, but I don't think that's possible. : )
I've had this idea for a layout in my head for awhile, but it was only a partial idea... until now. I've been wanting to use a train to hold photo mats since my Grandson loves trains. Being only 7 months old, he has a variety of toys, so no theme really holds with him yet, so I was just holding onto the train idea. Since I had some cute pictures of him on the floor with a bunch of toys, I decided to go with the train idea and assorted toys. I only used two carts on this layout, B is for Boy and MS Birthday. I prefer the train on MS Birthday, which was cut at 3.
The money was cut @ 4. I used red stickles on his heart and lips and clear on his hat.
The stickles really make everything stand out so much more.
The dump truck was cut @ 3.5.
I used brown and clear stickles on the dirt.
I cut out the lion @ 4, the keys @ 3 and the Prince Charming and crown @ 3.5 and the rings at 3.5.
For the train, I decided to add some left over pictures to it. For the two passenger cars, I just used a square punch.
On the back side, I used scotch tape to hold them in place.
For the other two cars, I used the hinge method. On my gypsy I placed two of the same cars on one mat. Next I added scotch tape to the top of some plain white paper on my cutting mat and cut out the two cars.
Do NOT remove from the machine, I just hit load paper, so I had room to move. ((I should have hidden all the lines, except the insides one before
cutting, but I forgot. I did do it after cutting the white paper,
before I cut the photos. Shown is the missing white piece, the only cut that should have been made, although it didn't hurt anything.))
Next I inserted the pictures underneath the white paper, so I could see exactly where it would cut.
Since my mats are in pretty bad shape, I taped the pictures down on the mat and then cut them out.
I took the two pictures and inserted them into each remaining cars.
